"My life with Mozart" is another book of Schmitt, which since last Christmas, guests on my shelf. Finally, after a very well-received by me, "Small crimes of marriage" and the disappointing "My Gospel" came for this very book. honestly say that I was afraid of reading, and it's because so far I read a few conflicting opinions on it. Some said it was one of the worst books of the author, while others encouraged to reach for her. After reading this short book to say with certainty that belongs to this second group of recipients, which I was encouraged to read it:)
"My life with Mozart," a kind of autobiography , in which Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt leads with Mozart strange kind of conversation. Schmitt 'communicate' with using letters Mozart, Mozart and, as you might guess, it does so through its music.
Correspondence with Mozart Schmitt begins when the author is 15 years old. His life revolves around the death. The young man does not see much sense in that to continue his earthly journey and that is why more and more thinking about it to commit suicide. This is a letter about cats is one of my favorites, because, according to Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's only cats can be called mozartowskimi animals. Only the writer's opinion, cats can give the sense of his behavior, lightness and beauty of Mozart's music.
I must say that this book grabbed me and seduced. I liked this power a person can draw from the music, how music can help us in our lives. Sometimes even I caught that Schmitt envy that has this kind of relationship with the composer, he never had a chance to know, but you 'know' through his music. Mozart Schmitt has for not only praise and admiration, but also a true love that we give only the people most important to us. For Schmitt, Mozart is just one of those people. It was he who saved him, he helped him deal with pain and loss, he explained to him life and God, he never left it and did not disappoint ...
